He wanted to capture the powerful energy and motion in these squiggled waves He's been called one of the greatest artists of the last 100 years. He was trying to create his own language that was never seen before. It started with a line. We think it's weird because it's so simplistic and commonly drawn among small children, but yet sold for $70 million dollars, especially having only been created in the last 100 years.
